Our April meeting is April 1st (no fooling) in Room 101 in the Casa Del Prado in Balboa Park at 6:30. Our speaker is Mr. Shadi Hajjar who will be talking on the Production and Storage of Truffles. Mr. Hajjar is a native of Lebanon and has a B.S. in Agriculture from the American University in Beirut and a M.S. in Horticultural Quality Management from the International Center for Advanced Mediterranean Agronomic Studies in Chania, on the island of Crete, Greece. His thesis work focused on the postharvest physiology of truffles, during which he spent months in Italy working with truffles. Come and learn more about these fascinating fungi.
