In preparation for the rainy season, we are practicing our identification skills during our upcoming meeting.

Our resident mycologist, Dennis Sharmahd, will help us to understand the common ways to identify fungi, which includes the relationships to plants and trees. Our goal is to have live specimens to help practice!

Our SDMYCO Secretary and Certified Naturalist, Mark Jenne, will share some of the identification keys that help to deduce which of the common fungi you are observing in San Diego.
