Course 1: Marinated mushroom wonton bites with lemongrass aioli
Course 2: Chopped shiitake salad with ginger and yuzu
Course 3: Rice bowl with seaweed, soft egg and smoked mushroom
Course 4: Caramelized Asian pear with candy cap cream

Chef Bio
Sara Restivo was 10 years old when she decided she wanted to grow up to become a chef. Making food for people has always provided her a sense of happiness that she has never felt in any other part of her life. Sara graduated from the culinary school at the Art Institute of California, San Diego. She has worked in many areas of cooking from preparing banquets for 4,000 people, to private dinners, to cooking around the world. She recently had the opportunity to cook in a chateau in the south of France and a lodge in Alaska. She is currently working at Veladora at Rancho Valencia Resort and Spa.
She is honored to be the San Diego Mycological Society’s Club Chef and she is excited to cook for all the local mycophagist (people who love to eat mushrooms)!
