January 6th, 2014 Meeting at 6:30PM: Backyard Shitake Cultivation
For the January 6th meeting, Michelle and Jack Innis will present a slideshow on their experience with shitake cultivation. The meeting will start at 6:30 PM in Room 101, Casa Del Prado in Balboa Park. We will also have discussions about the annual mushroom fair in February and fair volunteer opportunities.

We will have Alyssa Allen presenting a demonstration of “Mycopigments” (Mushroom Dyes); Distinguished Professor Elio Schaechter presenting “Mushrooms Through the Ages,” and award-winning photographer Noah Siegel presenting “Mushrooms of California,” as well as a mushroom cooking demonstration.
Thursday Dec 5th – Mushroom Dinner at Mesa College
The Mesa College Department of Culinary Arts will be hosting a special mushroom dinner for club members at 5pm. The event is open only to San Diego Mycology members and has limited first-come-first-serve seating. The price of the dinner is $20.
